Istanbul Audio Guides — Frequently Asked Questions
How do Istanbul audio guides work?
Each audio guide is a narrated, self-paced tour of one landmark. After checkout you receive access instructions by email; you listen on your own phone with your own earphones, pausing and rewinding as you like — no group, no schedule, no device rental to return.
Do the audio guides include entry tickets?
Most don’t — mosques like the Blue Mosque, Süleymaniye and Eyüp Sultan are free to enter, so the narration is the only thing you pay for. The exception is the Istanbul Archaeological Museums guide, which includes skip-the-ticket-line entry. For ticketed monuments such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace or the Basilica Cistern, we point you to their dedicated ticket sites, where the entry ticket includes narration or a guided tour.
Are there free audio guides for Istanbul?
Yes — free apps and community-made audio walks exist, and we compare them honestly on our free vs premium page. The difference with these guides is coverage and depth for a specific landmark, professional narration in multiple languages, and support from a licensed local agency.
Is this an official landmark website?
No. State monuments and museums have their own official ticket offices (for example muze.gen.tr for national museums). This site sells official Istanbul.com audio-guide inventory through Cityberry Tourism Agency, a licensed TURSAB member (licence 11745).
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Yes — orders can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before your planned visit. See our Refund & Cancellation policy for full details.
