Blue Mosque Audio Guide

Six minarets, a cascade of domes and twenty thousand handmade İznik tiles — Sultan Ahmed’s mosque was built to outshine Hagia Sophia across the square. Entry is free; the story is what most visitors walk past.

Is there a free Blue Mosque audio guide?

The mosque itself charges nothing — it is an active place of worship, open outside the five daily prayer times, with the usual etiquette (modest dress, shoes off, quiet). It does not, however, hand out an official audio guide. Free community-made audio snippets exist and we list them honestly on the free vs premium page; this professionally narrated tour is what we’d actually take — for the price of a simit and a çay you get the architecture, the tilework and the teenage sultan who demanded six minarets.

Make it a Sultanahmet morning

You are two minutes’ walk from Hagia Sophia, where the entry ticket already includes an audio guide, and ten from the Basilica Cistern. Do all three before lunch — narrated the whole way.
